Balancing career and private life

We understand that balancing a demanding advisory role with a fulfilling personal life can be challenging, especially through life’s many phases: whether you're a working parent, pursuing a passionate hobby, studying part-time, or caring for a loved one. At Wavestone, we offer a variety of support options tailored to your unique needs.

We strive to offer all our positions on either a part-time or full-time  basis (80% - 100%). Exceptions, such as roles with contractually agreed working hours of less than 80% or exclusively full-time positions, may apply depending on the responsibilities and individual circumstances.

Our mobile work policy provides the flexibility to work comfortably from home, while also offering inspiring office spaces for in-person collaboration and dialogue. For those who dream of combining work with travel: our Mobile Work Abroad program lets you work up to 50 days per year from other EU countries, as well as the UK, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Switzerland.

We also provide 25 days of annual leave, extra days off for special family circumstances (e.g., through our Take A Break program), and a variety of sabbatical options to support both your personal and professional well-being.

Customized mobility

The world never stands still—and neither do we. Whether it’s generating ideas, solving complex challenges, or navigating our dynamic working environment, we stay on the move.

With a fixed monthly mobility budget, you can travel flexibly and sustainably for both personal or professional purposes. The budget covers various modes of transportation, including public transport, long-distance buses, trains, scooters, and car-sharing options.

Depending on your role, you can use a company car or a Climate Ticket.

Fair compensation

The annual gross salary is determined by the current collective agreement, including performance-related bonuses. We are proud to grant the full performance-based component even during maternity leave. Depending on your qualifications and relevant professional experience, significantly higher compensation is possible.

To ensure fairness and market competitiveness, we regularly conduct benchmarking studies through external providers. This allows us to compare market trends and maintain salaries that are both attractive and aligned with industry standards. Besides that, we also actively monitor our numbers in terms of gender pay equity.

Your application at Wavestone

Our application process is streamlined, fast, and demanding, yet always personal. We don’t have any online assessments, entrance tests, or assessment centers. We don't believe in stress interviews or brainteasers either.

Our goal is to give you an authentic impression of Wavestone and get to know you as a person — your personality, your individual interests, and your strengths.

Online
application

Submit your application with your résumé, certificates, and other documents. We would also appreciate information about your motivation, salary expectations, and possible start date. Willingness to travel for consulting activities is required. Remote work is also possible with us.

Video or phone interview

If your application convinces us, we will arrange a one-hour (video) phone interview with the relevant department so that we can discuss expectations, clarify questions, and get to know each other.

Interview

If we both agree that we should get to know each other better, a more detailed interview with the specialist colleagues, management, and HR department will follow. Sometimes, a second interview is also conducted. In any case, the interviews are always about personal and professional exchange, including a consulting case related to Wavestone.

Offer

And if it’s a match for both sides? We’ll send you a concrete job offer. You can also have an informal "off the record" chat with a Wavestone employee from your future department.
